Pullman earn a senior night win

After some tough games, the Greyhounds were ready to get a win for their two seniors on their senior night. Pullman played against the East Valley Knights on Tuesday, April 30th. For seniors, Brooklyn Purcell and Abilene Chapman, getting win on their home field for the last time would be a great way to close a rough season. Starting the first inning scoreless for
both teams, the game was sure going to be close. The Knights were able to be the first ones on the board with one run in first and two runs in the second. The Greyhounds answered back tying the game 3-3 entering the third inning. The two teams remained scoreless for the next three innings until East Valley took the lead of 4-3 in the top of the last inning. Pullman began their last at bat more confident and energetic then any other game. Junior Hallie McDougle hit a RBI sending Sophomore Meghan McSweeney home to tie the game. With two outs in the inning, Sophomore Hailey Talbot hit a walk-off single to send McDougle home. The Greyhounds took the win against the Knights with a score 4-5; Pullman finished with a total of 11 hits while East Valley had 7. Along with the win, Pullman was able to move to third in the Great Northern League team rankings.

The Greyhounds will play their last regular season game against the West Valley Eagles on Tuesday, May 7th.
