Greyhound Girls Tennis crushes the Cheney Blackhawks

Sophia Guo returns a serve from the Cheney Blackhawks.

For the eighth match of the season, the Pullman Girls tennis team played Cheney. With many impressive matches the Pullman Greyhounds beat the Cheney Blackhawks 6-1. With their leaders Elsie Kimani and Milena Johnson, the doubles teams had remarkable improvement winning all the doubles matches. At the number two doubles, Julianna Froderberg and Katie Rolfsmeier won in a third set tie breaker 11-9. With this win, the Greyhounds improved their league record to 2-2. The Greyhounds will play another home game on Thursday, April 18 against the Clarkston Bantams at 3:30.

 

 

 

 

Head Coach Dan Vollmer said, “Our doubles teams are improving every match. Several of the teams were playing with each other for the first time. They did a great job.”
